El Cubo is inaugurated as part of the architectural plant of the Tijuana Cultural Center. This space emerges as a museographic precinct with the purpose of reinforcing its offer in the visual arts and cultural heritage in the northwest of Mexico.

The Todos somos un mundo pequeño movement demonstrates against the appointment of the new director of the Centro Cultural Tijuana. The community breaks ties with the institution due to this event.

Rodriguez Passage

Pasaje Rodríguez, a cultural corridor with galleries, bookstores and artist studios, is reactivated in the city of Tijuana. Projects created by graduates of the School of Arts such as Nodo, Praxis and Freelance, serve as spaces for experimentation and dissemination of the work of artists and students of the UABC.

Baja California is the guest of the sixth edition of Salón ACME, a platform and art event created by artists for artists that gives visibility, impulse and diffusion to emerging creators who develop their work both in Mexico and abroad.
