statement
She is currently developing an extensive painting project, using gradients, transparencies, geometric figures and in many cases organic textures that refer to naturalistic aspects. In most of the pieces she leaves spaces of raw canvas, some take meaning according to the format of the frame and in others she frees the canvas from it, allowing it to rest according to its own condition.
The intention is to fragment and deconstruct the idea of nature posed from the pictorial landscape. Constructing works where the composition and distribution on the frame -inside and outside the space of the rectangle- present the limits that the individual has built on the margins of nature. It is not only about painted images, but through the association of the format and the space they inhabit, incites the viewer to rethink the way he/she approaches a two-dimensional image.
