statement
His artistic practice has developed in two clearly distinct stages, marked by his personal and professional evolution. The first stage was influenced by drawing, collage and installation with everyday objects. During this period his work focused on figurative drawing and minimalist collage. Which served him to explore the relationship of the individual with his surroundings, thus creating three-dimensional drawing pieces. Eventually he decided to close this stage of creation, which he had been doing for ten years, to continue in another direction. In the second stage, his artistic approach has now evolved to using digital media to produce illustrations and animations themed on Mexican roots and create a dialogue with the present day. He has also experimented with sound and video installations. Although these two stages are different, there is a common thread between them, which is the relationship between human beings and their surroundings, from the personal to the social. His work reflects a natural development where at each stage is enriched by personal and professional experiences, to create a body of work in constant evolution.
